To all I.B.F. clubs conducting a CastingKids event between March 14, 2005 and October 1, 2005. With the current changes in the 2006 Bass schedule, the I.B.F. will be conducting our CastingKids State Finals event in early October, 2005. The winners from this event will be going on to the CastingKids Semi Finals in January 2006, held during the Federation Championship. The CastingKids Championship will be conducted during the Bassmaster Classic in late February 2006. A new "Safe Date" age cut-off of MARCH 31 has been established for the CastingKids program (The old age cut-off date was August 31). There were many reasons why March 31 is the best date, but none more important than ensuring a child's eligibility throughout the end of any competition year. Kids in the 7-10 age group can not be any older than 10 years of age by March 31, 2006. Kids in the 11-14 age group can not be any older than 14 years of age by March 31, 2006. Please pass this information on to your CastingKids event winners so they may plan accordingly. Be sure to get your winners names turned into Robert Latour, I.B.F. CastingKids Coordinator, as soon as possible and also to Joy George at Bass The I.B.F. will get invitations out to the event winners notifying them of when and where the State Finals will be held.
