2011 Top 8 Tournament

The Indiana Bass Federation held it’s top 8 tournament May 14/15^th.  The Connersville Bass Club conducted the event.  Although it rained throughout the event, 73 anglers caught a total of 156 fish weighing 318.08  lbs..  Eight anglers, Doug Ruster of New Palestine Bass Masters, Drew Foster of Gad-A-Bout, Brad Robinson of Whitewater Valley Bass Masters, Jerry Loveless of New Palestine Bass Massters, Deacon Cashdollar of Connersville Bass Club,  Rob Kelley of Blue River Bass Masters, John Hays of Whitewater Valley Bass Masters,  and Greg Jones ofCentral Indiana Bass Club were the top 8 Tournament team advancing to the state finals July 23/24, 2011 at  Rocky Point.  The 4 alternates for the state team are Dustin Burk of Gad-A-Bout, T.J. Edwards of Central Indiana Bass Club,  Scott Hutchings of Richmond Bass Club,  and  Ken Bortlien of Gad-A-Bout.

Team Gad-A-Bout won the team competition.  Their team consisted of  Chris Burk, Ken Bortlein, Drew Foster, Tim Maupin, Jim Clark IV, Jim Clark III, Dustin Burk, and Brian Laker.

In team competition, Gad-A-Bout was 1^st, 2^nd was New Palestine Bass Masters, 3^rd was Connersville Bass Club, 4^th was Whitewater Valley Bass Masters, 5^th was  Central Indiana Bass Club, 6^th was Blue River Bass Masters, 7^th was Muncie Bass Cats, 8^th was Richmond Bass Club, 9^th was Indy Bass Hustlers, 10^th was Lamb Lake Bass Masters, and 11^th was Cincy Bass Club.

The average weight of the fish brought in was 2.038 lbs..  Big fish for day 1 was 5.00 lbs.  caught by Drew Foster.  The big fish for day 2 was 4.50 lbs. caught  by Ken Bortlien.
