IBF Junior Anglers Program

In this program young anglers 15 years old and younger (as of Aug 31 of the Junior World Championship they are trying to qualify for) can join as TBF Junior members.

The tournament format is 2-person teams. This will allow young anglers to team with a buddy for the season and fish from their own boats with their own boat captains!

It is strongly encouraged to establish a partner and a boat/boat captain prior to registration. However, if you are unable to do so, just fill out the registration as a “Non-boater” and we will do all we can to team you up with another single angler for the season as well as help find a volunteer boat captain for each tournament.

Once a partner is established, that will be the pairing for the season. Points are accumulated throughout the season as team standings. If a teammate cannot attend one of the tournaments we will allow the angler to fish alone. Due to regulations, there must be at least 3 people in the boat during the tournament, no exceptions. This could be a substitute, another single angler, a parent or other volunteer who has completed a liability waiver.

In an attempt to reduce the amount of travel required and to hopefully increase the participation in the program, we have created a North and South tournament trail for the Indiana Bass Federation Junior Program. Anglers choose which division to compete in.  After the scheduled tournaments for each trail, we will schedule a “state championship” tournament. This will include the top 5 teams from each division, North and South. The top team will qualify for the TBF Junior World Championship (JWC) the following August.

IBF Student Angler Federation (SAF) – High School Program

Open to all 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade high school students. The tournament format is 2-person teams and teams are required to have their own boat and captain. Once a partner is established, that will be the pairing for the season. Points are accumulated throughout the season as team standings. If a teammate cannot attend one of the tournaments, we will allow the angler to fish alone. Due to regulations, there must be at least 3 people in the boat during the tournament, no exceptions. This could be a substitute, another single angler, a parent or other volunteer who has completed a liability waiver.

Exciting News for 2020 – We’re officially a sanctioned trail which means we can offer our top anglers a true National Qualifying Spot at our High School Fishing World Finals & National Championship. (With No Entry Fees).

In an attempt to reduce the amount of travel required and to hopefully increase the participation in the program, we have created a North and South tournament trail for the Indiana Bass Federation High School Program. Anglers choose which division to compete in.  After the scheduled tournaments for each trail, we will schedule an Indiana Trail Championship tournament. This is not to be confused with the TBF/SAF Indiana State Championship (Open to all Student Angler Federation/SAF members).
