I wish to express my thanks to them all for volunteering their time to make this event a huge success! Without them the kids that enjoyed fishing, some for the very first time, would not have experienced a fantastic opportunity presented by The DNR & Department of Fish and Wildlife.
The kids were allowed 15 minutes or 3 fish, whichever came first. Fish and Wildlife stocked the pond with Blue gill, & Catfish. The anglers were provide tackle & live bait. The volunteers helped bait the barbless hooks & remove the catch from the hooks. Colin was kept busy repairing poles with new line bobbers & hooks. His wife Michael Anne assisting him. Julian & Madeline were station at the exit to handout information about the DNR & the upcoming Hoosier Outdoor Esperance that will be held September 15th & 16th. (I’ll need volunteers to help with that event too). I’d like to also express my thanks to my wife Shelly (not shown above) for her help getting all the kids signed up for each time slot.
All the volunteers were provided free entry & parking for the day at the fair. They all were given a Frog Togg Chilly Pad,
Thank You All
