Indiana Bass Federation Youth – Conservation – Fishing
The Indiana Bass Federation once again hosted a year-end Fishing Party for IBF members and their guests. A total of 21 teams fished at beautiful Lake Chickamauga in Dayton, Tennessee on Friday and Saturday, November 7th and 8th. After a Thursday evening meeting and dinner, provided by the Rhea County Visitors Bureau, the teams started Friday morning with cool temperatures changing to a warm and sunny afternoon. Dave Martin and Mike Bracken brought in a great bag of 23.01 lbs. anchored by an 8.77 Big Bass which held up for big bag and big bass of the tournament. The teams of Paul Jones/Brad Jones and Dave Goodman/Carl Bowser both brought in bags of 14 lbs. on Friday to hold 2nd and 3rd for the day. Friday night thunderstorms and early Saturday morning fog changed the fishing for most teams. The team of Jerry Arnett/Doug Bradley had big bag of day two 12.36 lbs. and Ernie McCormick/Ernie Thein brought in a big bass, 6.29. In the end Dave Martin and Mike Braken held on for first place and big bass. This netted them checks for $3,000.00 and $1,000.00. Congratulations to all who won checks and prizes.
