Indiana Bass Federation Youth – Conservation – Fishing
As many of you have heard the TBF is going to two (2) person team for future National Semi Finals. This is likely a response to the BLFs doing the same and as well as a decrease in co-angler participation due to forward facing sonar. Other Federation states have already gone to the two person teams format.
As a result the Indiana Bass Federation Board has decided to get ahead of the situation and is planning on making the following changes to our tournament procedure.
- Regional Championships with be 2 person teams
- Clubs will determine their teams
- Will still have 4 boat teams for team awards as we had in past
- Entry fee $80 per 2 person teams team
- 5 fish limit
- Each team must have 2 people with membership (IBF and TBF) and entry fee paid prior to the event
- Can not fish alone unless there is an emergency – Tournament Director determines the validity of the emergency
- Top 2 boats from each Zone will be the Sweet 16
- Qualifying for NSF will be the same – top 10% each day and 10% overall
- Entry fee for NSF unknown – suspect $300 or more
- Subs for NSF in limbo – need clarification on that info from TBF
- Will still have State Championship based on past guidelines
- As far as we know winning team will still qualify for TBF National Cjampionship
- 200 entry fee for State Championship
- Teams can qualify tor NSF through other events as long as they are IBF Members
- Individual can join INF without joining a club
- IBF membership would be $100 individually – $50 IBF and $50 TBF
- Events would be IBF Trail, Hoosier Opens, Seniors Trail and any other appropriate trail
- Both team members would have to be IBF/TBF members
- Membership must be paid prior to qualifying event
- On trails that are individual scoring the qualifying boater or non-boater can select an existing IBF member s partner
- Individual members not eligible for Regional Championships
We know there will be many questions and concerns. We suggest members attend up coming meetings to get a better understanding and ask any questions. All members are invited to both the upcoming State Meeting December 5 as well as Zone meetings.
State Meeting – December 5 – 1 pm Eastern – Speedway 500 American Legion – 1926 Crawfordsville Rd Indinanapolis, IN ( Come in from the north off 30th or 38th St)
Zone 1 – October 31 – 10am Eastern – Warsaw Public Library 310 E Main St, Warsaw, IN
Zone 2 – December 5 – After State Meeting
Zone 3 – November 6 – 7 PM – Denny’s Restaurant, 5300 IN-3, Spiceland, IN 47385
Zone 4 – Mid November – Date, time, and location to be announced
