MINUTES OF MEETING FOR ZONE 3, DISTRICTS 7 AND 8
AUGUST 6, 2015

CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Mike Vertesch.

DIRECTORS PRESENT:

            MIKE VERTESCH (DISTRICT 8)  

            DALE DOTY (DISTRICT 7)

DIRECTORS ABSENT:

            ROB KELLY (DISTRICT 8)

            ZACH GROUNDS (DISTRICT 7)        

SIGN-IN SHEET: The sign-in sheet was announced, completed and will be sent to Eric Hardesty

RAFFLE: No Raffle was held, but we collected $16.00 in donations that was donated to the FOP.

PREVIOUS MINUTES: The minutes of the previous meeting of April 2, 2015 were read and approved. Mike Vertesch thanked Dale Doty for doing a great job handling the April meeting and the April Minutes.

TREASURER’S REPORT: None was given since Treasurer Rob Kelley was out of town working.

ZONE 3 MEMBERSHIP STATUS: Zone 3 currently has the following membership:

District 7:        10 Clubs

District 8:        10 Clubs

Total Zone 3: 20 Clubs

INVITATIONAL TRAIL REPORT: The following schedule remains:

SEPT. 14 AT             MONROE     

OCT. 4 & 5    CLASSIC AT PATOKA

DWIGHT CLUNIE ENCOURAGES NEW PARTICIPANTS AND THE RETURN OF ALL WHO HAVE FISHED IN THE PAST. DWIGHT ALSO REMINDS US THAT HE IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR NEW SPONSORS.

TOP-8 DISTRICT 7 REPORT: NONE

TOP-8 DISTRICT 8 REPORT: NONE

STATE FINALS REPORT: NONE

2015 NORTHERN DIVISIONAL: IS SET IN SEPT. FOR LAKE CARLYLE IN ILL.

TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS REPORT: The Zone 3 TOC will be held on ___________________________TBA NOV. _______, 2015 from _______ a.m. to __________ p.m. at ______________. There will be an official zone meeting held prior to the take off that will count toward your meeting points. Get there early enough to attend that meeting.

WE STILLNEED A DATE,TIME AND VOLUNTEERS TO RUN THE TOC EVENT.

OLD BUSINESS: None

NEW BUSINESS:

A MOTION WAS MADE TO ASK THE DIRECTORS AT THE NEXT STATE MEETING TO CONSIDER NOT ALLOWING INDIVIDUAL ZONES TO DECIDE IF NON-EVEN NUMBERS OF PERSONS FROM A CLUB CAN COMPETE AND IF THEY WILL ALLOW ALTERNATES AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF COMPETITION.

CRAIG STANLEY NOTED THAT THE CURRENT RAFFLE BOAT PICTURE DOES NOT HAVE ACCESSORIES FROM OUR CORPORATE SPONSORS AND THAT WE WILL FIX THAT PROBLEM.

DISCUSSION ON POSSIBLE HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES WAS HAD AND THE QUESTION AROSE ABOUT THE POSSIBLITIY OF A CORPORATION THAT WE ARE PAYING FOR GOODS AND SERVICES BE A CANDIDATE. THE GENERAL CONSENSUS WAS THAT THIS WAS NOT A GOOD IDEA. DOUG BRADLEY WAS DISCUSSED AS HAVING MADE SUBSTANTIAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE IBF DURING HIS MULTI-TERM PRESIDENCY.

NEW BUSINESS:

Duties: No elected officer/s shall hold two elected positions at the same time. If holding an elected office and elected to another office he/she must resign form one of the offices immediately. The elected officer/s may hold an appointed position from the president as a special director or chairman.
